Married!!...

On Saturday, a few weeks short of our 10th anniversary, we celebrated by tying the knot. Our wedding was an intimate occasion, held in the Chancel of our church and witnessed by our families. After the ceremony, the wedding party adjourned to The Maple Grove Inn for lunch and laughter. We had the best of times and look forward to our newest journey together!

Our day was recorded by local "photographer", Will Skelton, accompanied by his beautiful girlfriend. We selected him because we have seen his work on many occasions and were quite pleased with what we saw. ;-)

Practicing our vows

We didn't have a rehearsal so we practiced just prior to the actual ceremony. The above and next photo are of us in the Chapel, out of sight of our guests, doing a "talk through" . Our church believes the wedding ceremony is sacred and strictly prohibits photos during the service so this is a close as we get to photos of the service.

I was pleased to have not stumbled in heels as I rarely wear them! New respect for those who do!

Surprise…

If you are reading this sometime around, say, 11:00 AM this morning, we are getting hitched, married, tying the knot! We have planned an intimate affair with our families as our witness!

We have been talking about getting married for months but didn’t set the date until Christmas. It has been a very busy couple of weeks for this bride and groom. Lots of fun has been had, pulling the details together and only one, relatively small, meltdown …“can we really pull this together so fast?!”

One of our many tasks included a trip the local courthouse on Tuesday for a marriage license.

We are excited about our newest adventure together. This definitely our trip of a lifetime. Pics and details to come!
